About me

As a freelance specialist, I help arts and cultural organisations connect with audiences by leading and managing strategic marketing, comms and brand development projects. I also provide consultancy on all things marcomms, putting audiences at the heart of my approach.

 

I’ve worked in arts and culture for over 15 years with some of the UK’s leading arts organisations including National Theatre Wales, Roundhouse, Southbank Centre, Rambert, and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society. 

 

I’ve led brand development and web projects, managed diverse and wide-ranging marketing campaigns for major productions, events and festivals, and developed CRM strategies - including implementing a ticketing system or two. I’ve also been responsible for leading marketing and comms teams, audience development and pricing initiatives, crafting and commissioning content, and shaping brand messaging and communications.​

 

I have a deep understanding of the arts and culture landscape. I can work with different people and make them feel comfortable doing things they haven’t done before. I can think about lots of things at once, see how they all fit into a bigger picture whilst maintaining a seriously good eye for detail. I’m organised and love being in control, but at the same time, I’m not fazed or daunted about getting stuck in. â€‹

 

I’ll treat your project with the care it deserves. I’m reliable so you can trust me to get what you need done when you need it - and keep everyone else on track too. I’m proactive, so I’ll think for you, freeing you up to focus on other things (I’m used to working with small teams with lots on their plate). I’ll work collaboratively but also offer an objective eye - I’m not afraid to ask important questions, or prod where needed to get to the good stuff.
